Assignment 30A: Final Reflection
1) When reflecting the course ENT 3003 I can say that there have been a lot of ups and downs. But all in all the ups definitely have been predominant. Right at the beginning when creating the “Bug List” I was quite stressed, because I couldn’t think about 20 things that annoy me. But after a while I got used to the tasks and how to solve my personal issues with them. I enjoyed the reading reflections because I could learn a lot about other entrepreneurs, their persistence and ambition to achieve their goals.
2) The most formative experiences have definitely been the “Elevator Pitches”. The more often we had to create them, the more I liked them. It was a lot of fun because normally I barely recognize how I act or how I speak. I think it was very helpful to improve the own appearance and to see this improvement in the video itself. It was also useful to work on the selling abilities and to advertise a specific product.
3) I still don’t see myself as an entrepreneur, but it definitely helped me to understand entrepreneurial thinking and what “ingredients” are important to become a successful entrepreneur. I think when I keep on working on my venture concept and put the idea into practice, I will start to see myself more as an entrepreneur than now. I believe a lot is developing automatically with the experience I will get over time.

4) I would recommend to enjoy this course and to see it as a possibility to increase the own potential and abilities. Sometimes there will be tasks that students don’t like but it is their chance to improve the own skills. It will be the best to work ahead so that students don’t have to finish the assignments under high time pressure.

Laura,
ReplyDeleteits very interesting that you still don't see yourself as an entrepreneur. but don't let that stop you from being one I the opportunity arises! After reading your blogs all semester I believe you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur, maybe it isn't what you are meant to be, but I believe you could be on elf you wanted to be.
Laura, your blog looks great! I can agree with you that the bug list in the beginning of the semester was challenging and eye opening. I'm glad that you found the elevator pitches formative, they are definitely useful and I think they were great practice. It's also great that this class has helped you develop an entrepreneurial mindset. There are always going to be tasks that students don't like, but they are meant to improve your skills. Good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteLike Austin, I agree that its interesting that you don't see yourself as an entrepreneur; however, maybe this class was really useful in that it helped you realize this about yourself and it allowed you to learn more about what it means to be an entrepreneur and what that lifestyle would really be like.
